The purpose of the 281st Assault

perpetuate the memory and to recognize the valor of those personnel who served
in the 281st AHC, In particular, the purpose is to memorialize those missing in
action (“MIA”), those killed in action (“KIA”), and those who served honorably
in the unit. To this end the 281st AHC Scholarship Fund annually awards
scholarship Grants in memory of these individuals.

the fund and evaluate all applicants who apply. The Chairman of the Board
(hereafter referred to as “the Chairman”) shall annually select no less than
three (3) members of the Board who will individually evaluate scholarship
applicants for that year. Any direct descendent of an individual who served in
the 281st AHC, or of their spouse, may apply for scholarship assistance.
Following the completion of the annual selection process the Chairman shall
notify the 281st AHC Association Board of Directors of the Board’s decisions.
