KIA/MIA MEMORIAL AWARD
"INTRUDER OF THE YEAR"

Each year a member of the 281st AHC Association is selected by committee as the recipient of the "Intruder of the Year."  This award is presented in the remembrance of the brave men of the 281st AHC who were Killed in Action or are listed as Missing in Action.

2001

2005

Kelly Mayhew

Kelly, pictured here with Earl Broussard 2004 recipient, is the first person to receive the Intruder of the Year Award who was not a member of the 281st AHC.  Kelly is the daughter of Jack Mayhew, Commander of the 281st AHC in 1967- 68 and former President of this association.  Kelly has worked tirelessly during the reunion planning process and during the past reunions in the PX area.  She has devoted many hours of her own time in researching KIA's and MIA's as well as her 281st AHC Wall Project in Washington, DC.


2006

Jay Hays

Jay, holding the well deserved 2006 Intruder of the Year Award.  Long time member Jay has been an invaluable asset to the Association through his dedicated support of the PX.  From our Las Vegas reunions onwards you would always find Jay devoting countless hours insuring that the PX and Hospitality Suite were running smoothly.  Now serving as Vice President Jay will advance to the Presidency in 2007-08.  Congratulations Jay, you truly deserve the award.
