3rd Flight Platoon 

"Wolf Pack"

The 3rd Flight Platoon was formed from assets of the 2/171st when the 281st Aviation Company (AML) (-) arrived in Nha Trang.  The 2/171st was formed from assets of the 145th and 6th Airlift Platoons.  The "Wolf Pack" was the armed platoon and was one of the most effective and lethal armed helicopter platoons in RVN.
